DJ Fresh first made his mark hosting the YFM Radio station in Johannesburg during the 1990s. His passion for music and knack for spinning tracks led him to release a series of South African house music records under the title Fresh House Flava, captivating audiences with each volume.

DJ Fresh’s journey into the world of DJing began in Botswana, where his interest in music first took root. Relocating to South Africa in 1994 to pursue his studies, he obtained a Media Studies diploma at Johannesburg’s Boston Media House. While completing his studies, he landed a role at YFM, where he spent eight years honing his craft.

His talent and charisma soon caught the attention of 5FM, where he became a radio presenter for over a decade. In 2017, DJ Fresh made the move to Metro FM, where his “Fresh Breakfast Show” quickly became a fan favorite.

In August 2019, DJ Fresh faced challenges when Metro FM dismissed him following a listener’s complaint about strong language during a live broadcast. Despite this setback, DJ Fresh continued to make waves, taking over the Drive Time show on 947 before facing allegations of misconduct.

Beyond radio, DJ Fresh has graced television screens as a guest judge on shows like Idols SA, SA’s Got Talent, and Tropika Island of Treasure SA, showcasing his versatile talents.
