Born in Dannhauser, KwaZulu-Natal, DJ Zinhle discovered her passion for music early on. While studying at Siyamukela High School in Emadadeni, Newcastle, she never imagined herself becoming a DJ. However, her brother’s love for mixing vinyls inspired her to explore the world of DJing, and she hasn’t looked back since.

Career

DJ Zinhle’s career gained momentum when she became a resident DJ on the youth dance show, Jika Majika, airing on SABC 1. From there, she quickly made a name for herself, rocking crowds at clubs, fashion shows, corporate functions, and private parties across South Africa.

One of DJ Zinhle’s career highlights includes her residency on SABC 1’s popular dance show, Jika MaJika, where she keeps the energy levels high with her electrifying sets. Additionally, her permanent slot on Oskido’s Church Grooves show on Yfm, titled The Feminine Touch, has garnered widespread popularity among both female and male listeners.

Internationally, DJ Zinhle has showcased her talent on the global stage, performing in the UK alongside renowned South African DJs like DJ S’bu, Vinny Da Vinci, Christos, and Oskido. Her performances have been met with rave reviews, earning her invitations for return gigs and cementing her status as a rising star on the international music scene.

Her hit single “Umlilo” garnered millions of streams and earned her multiple awards, including Best House DJ and Best House Female Artist at the Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards.
