Sakhile Hlatshwayo, popularly known as Killer Kau, was a South African singer, dancer, and record producer renowned for his chart-topping tracks “Tholukuthi Hey” and “Amaneighbour.”

Early life and career
Born on July 5, 1998, in Soweto, South Africa, Killer Kau began honing his musical talents at an early age, singing in church choirs such as Stay PC and the African Heavenly Soul Singers.
His breakthrough came in 2017 while still in school when he gained widespread recognition for his viral hit “Tholukuthi Hey,” which caught the attention of DJ Euphonik.
In 2021, Killer Kau received the Best Amapiano Collaboration award at the SA Amapiano Music Awards.

Death
Tragically, on August 9, 2021, Killer Kau, along with fellow amapiano musician Mpura and rising artists The Voice, Thando Tot, and Thando Td, lost their lives in a fatal car accident while en route to a performance. Only one female passenger survived the crash, claiming to be a friend of Mpura and Killer Kau.
